The Cockburn Aquatic and Recreation Centre was one of the largest developments of its kind in Australia. The centre will provide a start of the art aquatic and recreation facility and houses the new home of the Fremantle Football Club. The aquatic component of the facility consisted of an indoor 25m pool, warm water therapy pool, spa, Learn to Swim, leisure pool with an interactive water play structure, 3 x water slides, hot and cold-water recovery pools and an out-door 50m pool.

All pools were fully tiled and associated ramp handrails and stainless-steel furniture provided to suit the requirements of the individual pool use.

The technically advanced pool filtration system for all pool utilises ultra-fine filtration saving the operator on water usage and providing pristine water clarity. The pools disinfection system also utilises Western Australia’s first on site hypochlorite generation system.
