Commercial Aquatics were engaged to complete a refurbishment of the existing filtration, electrical systems and plant rooms servicing a 50m, 25m, Lagoon and spa pools at the inner-city aquatic centre. The works comprised of the following works;

• Removal of redundant pipe work & renew existing as required
• Modification of 25m plant pipe work for increased operating efficiency
• New concrete plinths to pumping and heat exchanger equipment
• Replacement of filter media & inspection of rooftop access gravity filter
• Water chemistry & Chlorine gas compliance upgrade works
• Waterproofing of balance and backwash tanks

A level of building works were also completed including new motorized plant room roller access doors, preparation & recoat of plant room & chlorine gas room floors and walls, new step entry into the raised chlorine gas room.

The works were staged and completed in a manner so as to avoid the client a total and costly shut down. The client was able to remain open the whole time, retaining use of certain pools whilst others were being worked on.
