The Quairading Memorial Pool had serviced the local community for many years, and this redevelopment provided a much-needed revamp. The project involved conversion of an existing 33m G-gutter pool into a wet-deck 25m x 6 lane swimming pool with a minimum depth of 1.2m. The existing diving bowl of 3m was retained and start blocks were added to the Deep End of the Pool. The pool, which was originally painted, was converted to a fully tiled pool. A new fully tiled wet deck learn to swim/program pool with a leisure and tot’s area, including a beach entry and water features was also constructed. New hydraulic, filtration and electrical systems were installed for both pools comprising sand, granular chlorine disinfection
systems.
